Anyone have any experience with the BT TM7?  I've read the reviews on pbreview.com and it seems that as long as you get a recently built one the bugs are all worked out.  Lots of reveiws there but it would be nice to get input from someone closer to home...

It's stated that the TM7 has Invert Mini guts, kinda like how the SP-8 was an Ion in kick-@$$ clothing.

How's the weight?

How's the weight distribution using a remote?

How's the gas efficiency?

Chops/Breaks?

Would an Evlution 3 be a good hopper?

What did you pay?

Anybody want to buy a super-hopped up Ion so I can buy a TM7?  Grin

I won't ask about accuracy because that's skill/barrel related anyway...

Sorry, I've since decided to hold on to this marker.  The Infernal Revenue Service is taking back $400.00 from the 2009 stimulus package and guess where that money is coming from?  My paintball fund.  Dammit.

Anyway, I should have deleted my original post, I apologize.

But I will take this opportunity to show off my marker!

Black SP Ion (original version) and stock barrel
SP Blackheart board and eyes
SP QEV
Really big drop forward
Killa magnetic ball detents (those things are GREAT)
SP Freak barrel system
SP Freak barrel front and BT Apex-compatible front
Spec Ops 4-inch stiffi barrel (that sounds dirty, doesn't it?)
Clamping feed neck
Modified VL EVlution3 hopper (adds 45 paintballs to standard capacity)
110ci 4500psi tank

It's heavy but the thing is a frickin' CANNON and works GREAT as long as it doesn't get too cold.

(dunno if this picture will come through or not...)

Haha, ok man that's fine. Real sick set up though. I've never seen an Ion set up like that before. Looks like it really would be a cannon. Smart Parts is definitly the way to go. I'm trying to save up some money so that I can get a Shocker. Don't know if it'll happen but who knows. That BT TM7 looks real sick though. Good luck on getting it. Smiley

If you want milsim I would definitely go with the tm7. It's a very nice gun for the milsim environment and is very compact which makes it easier to handle. It's not all that heavy either.

It's MINE!!!  I picked it up last night.

I took it up to the target range before buying it and it works/feels GREAT.  THIS is the marker I've wanted since I started playing paintball five or so years ago.

FINALLY I can play paintball the way I want to.  The TM-7 has all the strengths of a marker designed for speedball plus woodsball features like a selector switch, stock, offset feed tube, fore grip.  The balance is great, the kick is no worse than a Mini, and while it may not be water-proof it's put together a LOT tighter than my Spyder or Ion.

Also couldn't help myself and picked up the Rotor.  SWEET hopper.

I have yet to disassemble the marker, looks a little involved but if it's solid and reliable I won't mind spending a couple hours on it a couple times a year.

I dropped major coin last night but I'm pretty sure it's going to be well worth it.

I went down to the scuba shop and had my 110ci tank filled to 3,500psi, then stopped by D!ck's and bought a case of their "cammo-tactical" paint.

I got 1900 shots out of the tank before it dropped to 800psi and couldn't re-charge the marker regulator, I'm real happy with that.  If I fill the tank to 4,500 psi I should get way more than a case out of it.

I shot 350 paintballs through the barrel that came with the marker (.694) and broke 9 in the barrel, that's 2.5 %.
I shot 550 paintballs though a Freak barrel (.689) and broke 2, 0.36%.
I can't really say I understand how I'm breaking more paint in a wider barrel but the numbers don't lie.

I know it was crappy paint, they were the same boxes that were sitting on the pile 6 months ago.  Plus I shot 200 rounds of RPS Premium with no breaks and 200 rounds of dented OLD Stinger through the stock barrel with no breaks the night I bought it.

Shot to shot consistency and accuracy improved GREATLY with the Freak barrel, I don't think anyone is surprised about that.  The Freak barrel is SIGNIFICANTLY quieter as well, the stock barrel only has porting at the end.

No chops, the balance is good even when shot with a remote, it's easy to use, and it seems reliable and tough so far.  Can't wait to use it at Fire Team in April.

The Rotor worked flawlessly as well...  I'm going to keep track of how much paint I can get out of those three AA batteries.

***edit***
1,900 shots, not 900 shots.  I dropped the one in the previous post.
