MERCS Banquet Reschedule date

Hello everyone,

Due to the flooding going on this weekend, we're going to reschedule the banquet day - we just have too many members impacted by this business.

That said - please post in this thread your preferred day(s) over the next month and we'll settle on a date that is convenient for most people.

Possible dates are:

Sunday, 9/18 (9/17 is the scenario)

Saturday  9/24

Sunday 9/25

Saturday 10/1

Sunday 10/2

Saturday 10/8

Sunday 10/9


Post your date preferences and we'll do our best to pick a date that works for everyone.

I'm really sorry Tom, Earl posted it as soon as the decision was made.  It's my fault it wasn't called sooner, been too busy to see the forest for the trees.  Once again, I apologize.

Some people freeze cookies, there's a lot of disagreement on whether or not it's a good idea though.    Might be best to just eat them yourself.  You know, just to be sure.

There's that Chris guy - ready to fall on his sword at a moments notice     I take the blame too Tom - it was something I mailed Chris about Thursday morning after Dave had to cancel and I took a look at the weather reports.  The decision was made pretty quickly but we probably could have made the call a day or two sooner than we did.

Sorry about that, really.

All that said - from what I am seeing so far I'm going to recommend that we lock 10/8 for the new date (it's good for me as well).

Oh also - I mailed Lynsay already and let her know we were rescheduling and that we would get a new date to her soon.

Yeah, you guys take me waaay too seriously! Like I cannot imagine what I'm going to do with all those chewy-around-the edge, fudgy-in-the-middle chocolate brownies, or the 9 dozen soft sugary buttery chocolate chip cookies I made from scratch!

(Hint: yum yum!)

It took me with some help from Maria about 3 hours and $15 to get them done. We can handle doing that all over again, for YOU GUYS. So don't even think we'll be offering stale frozen cookies or brownies!
