I received this early today. Sounds like a LOT of fun.
Dear CFC Paintballers,
Combat For a Cause is holding a charity paintball tournament at Skirmish paintball on Saturday, August 13 benefitting the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. As always, admission is only $15 when you pre-pay. We'll be playing on Skirmish's Mounds field for the first half of the day. After lunch, we will be one of the first groups to play on Skirmish's newly designed Black Hawk Down field.
This tournament will be different than all previous Combat For a Cause events. Although you will still be registering in teams of 5, the referees and I will be combining teams before each round, and you will be given a scenario goal to accomplish in order to win the tournament. A video is currently online on CombatForaCause.org describing how the tournament will be run. Check out the links below to learn more. The video is in Quick Time format, but a flash version will be available soon.
Registration starts at 9:30 a.m. and the tournament should run until around 4:30. When you arrive at Skirmish, look for the Combat For a Cause tent. It'll be a green tent displaying a large Tippmann banner. CFC volunteers will be wearing bright orange STAFF tee shirts, and will help you with sign in. Because this is a charity event, Skirmish is selling paint at half price ($50 for a case of 2000, meaning $25 for 1000 when splitting a case). Rentals will be available for $12. The standard rental package includes a Tippmann 98 paintball gun, hopper, compressed air, and mask.
Prizes will be available at the tournament and a gun raffle will be held during lunch. Raffle tickets will be sold for only $5. In the past, we have raffled numerous Tippmann U.S. Army Paintball markers, and Empire Invert Mini paintball markers. CFC attire will also be sold at the field. All proceeds will be donated to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
To register, send an email to
