Let's get rolling with some registration numbers.

I am attending with one other - so that's two from me.  Anyone else planning on attending Fireteam 2?

If you are on the fence at all, give it a shot.  This format is an INSANE amount of fun.  No lie!

Anybody have any questions or need more information on Fireteam 2?

The first Fireteam was literally one of the most amazing formats I have ever played in paintball.  Most of the MERCS, my good friend Alpha  and others who attended can attest to how much fun it is.

2 v 1 format - you are either part of the horde or trying to stand against overwhelming odds.  There's just no downside to this format...  TRUST ME on this.

All we need for an amazing day is 30 + players... If you are even REMOTELY interested, you should check it out.  The format is there, the rules are there - all we need are a critical mass of 30+ players to create a scenario day that you won't soon forget!

Anyone out there have stories/observations from the last Fireteam or opinions on the format?  Post them here!

Stoltz you are right about this scenario being one of the most enjoyable setups.  Win or lose you have an absolute great time.  Attacking with overwhelming odds is fun, but defending against overwhelming odds is just EPIC. 

This scenario uses multiple fields in play which I love having the expanded space to work with.  You need a good strategy to win.  You break down into three teams and each team gets a shot at defending.  Then you switch to using different parts of the field all day.  Its hard to explain, but it just brings back those days of just getting with your friends in the woods and having a great time all day.  Don't be shy either.  If this is your first time out don't get scared off this is a great way to get started.  (You'll be hooked on playing after..... forever!)

I'll be signing up soon.  I wouldn't want to miss this one.

BOSS make sure you have a lot of that DXS paint on hand, I'll need it and that paint ROCKS!

Hopefully that food truck will be there with their great cheese steaks too....MMMMMMM!

Another thing that makes it cool (unless this has changed) is that the games are only ten minutes and there are re-insertions for elliminated players for the first five minutes.  This encourages aggressive play right away since you know you can get right back in the game.

I'm not certain about the aggressive play insertions Chris (although I doubt the rule was taken out) - but the 10 minute format is still in the game.  

As Stocky outlined - there are three teams.  Each round consists of 3 ten minute matches.  Each team gets one chance to defend the selected field from the other two teams.  Once every team has played defense, the round is over and we take a short break before switching fields and starting a new round.

It's a nice format because you get micro-breaks throughout the day sandwiched between really intense CQB matches.  It really does tend to make for a pretty good pace and each set of fields present unique challenges on both attack and defense so no two rounds play out the same.

I don't think there is one Smitty - but I imagine the sooner you register, the better so Brett and the other scenario admins know what kind of numbers they are dealing with.

Yes, this isn't a team-based tournament or anything.  Depending on the number and skill of players that show up we could end up playing against each other, though I'm going to try to avoid that.

Looks like you might get your wish ... 

There should be at least a few of us out there on Sunday. I don't know how many, or even if I'll be able to make it out, ... but I know there's a couple of guys planning on it. Sounds like it should be a good game!

Thanks. I should be able to make it out. I was able to get a co-worker to cover my shift.
