Most of my gun battles were over in less than a minute, not sure why that was but it might be because I was using Bob's Etek 3.  Cool

Dave,
think we should apologize to that chica we blasted as soon as she re-inserted?

naaaaaaaahhhhhh  Grin

We were far enough away that if she had run we wouldn't have hit her... but she chose to walk.  Kiss

Her first mistake walking. Even being a chica doesnt give you benefits in this stuff.

LOL, thanks.  I've been thinking more about this and I believe I avoided a lot of protracted gun battles for two reasons:

1. The first shot went right where I wanted it to.  It didn't take a volley of ten paintballs to hit my intended target.

2. The marker is so narrow that when I had it up in front of my face it didn't block my field of vision, I could barely even see it, which means I could keep it up in the fire position all the time.  I usually keep my markers in the ready position because they block my field of vision somewhat and I don't mant to miss seeing an enemy.  Having the marker in the fire position already gives me a better chance of getting the drop on someone and getting that first shot off before they do.

I have to stop thinking about this marker or I'm going to do something to my credit card that may upset the wife...  Grin

I will say I was pleasantly surprised at how well the ion shot, even with the stock barrel. I shot out a bunch of people with it. Even though I say that I will still dislike Smart Parts and the way they tried to strong-arm the paintball community.

I enjoyed playing with you guys it was awesome. Speaking for my new M98C, it worked like a dream. Didn't break a single ball. It also seemed to be more accurate than my M98. Didn't misfire either. As far as gameplay, expanding the fields was a great thing. I was able to sneak up on people. I managed to surrender a few people. In the process I learned a valuable rule. If they hesitate, shoot them. I almost got nailed. Luckily the kid aimed high and hit the bunker. Something else i learned watch how you retreat. My one flanking manevure was cut short by a teamate. After Stocky shot at me and I shot back (apology accepted by the way) I went down to flank about 5 or 6 ballers before being shot at by my own teamate. However it was a great day. I look forward to the next game with all you guys. Until then have fun and stay safe. watch out for all the storms hitting the area.
