Over the last year I've been asked what kind of vest I'm wearing.  It's a Pursuit Combat Systems (PCS) Encounter Vest.  They make another one too, called the "Tactical Vest" that doesn't have as many add-ons.

It has a 5+6 guppy configuration, horizontally mounted compressed air tank pouch on the back (even fits my 110ci tank), pocket in the back for a hydration system, tactical sling clips to hang your marker from, more pockets than God for maps, paint grenades, rags, a radio, all of which can be moved or removed.  It's mostly mesh to help keep you cool but not at all delicate, it's really tough.  This is my third year using it and it's holding up great, I just run it through the washer and air dry it once a year, or when it gets really funky.  Oh, and I've gotten LOTS of bounces off of it!  NICE!

My favorite part is the chest-wrap, it helps distribute the weight and keeps the vest from sliding all over the place.  If you have back problems like I do this might work well.  You can distribute the weight of your gear between your shoulders, chest and hips, unlike a standard pack in which all the weight is on your hips.  It's adjustable at the shoulders, ribs, and there are loops for a belt around the waist.

I believe they were originally $100.00, but Action Village has a small/medium SERIOUSLY on sale for $56.00 right now.

Stoltz has a nice vest, not sure what make/model it is though...  Hope someone finds this helpful.

Sweet. I can understand why the vest could come in handy. Do u prefer the compressed air tank pouch than an actual tank on the marker? And the straps for the marker how does that work out for ya?

If I'm using my Ion I like the tank on the marker, I hold the tank into my shoulder when shooting.

If I'm using the TM-7 I like it on my back, since it already has a shoulder stock built in.

So far so good, again, only use it for the TM-7.  It was great during Fireteam, I needed my hands free because someone foolishly made me the general of the team and I had to review the map with every one.  I made my own straps too!  All those Home-Ec classes from middle school really paid off!

The only complaint I have about going remote is that sometimes on really hot days the refs let us lift our masks after putting our markers on the ground and doing a hand-check.  So when I put mine down I'm still attached to the remote line and can trip over it...  Not a deal-breaker though.

Ah ok, the air tank makes sense.

Sweet Home-Ec can came in handy for ya. And yeah that would stink about the remote line.
